Josper appoints ex-chef and director as UK brand manager

Charcoal cooking equipment firm brings in new nationwide brand manager who was previously operations director at Middletons Steakhouse and Grill group.

Charcoal grill specialist, Josper, has appointed Jordan Ellis as its new brand manager for the UK as the firm targets further growth in the country.

Born in 1969 when the most innovative technology and tradition joined hands, Josper products are a strong solution for chefs who want to achieve the highest quality of grilling over charcoal.

Mr Ellis joins the business with 17 years of experience working in kitchens as a chef and director in various hotels and fine dining restaurants.

His last 11 years were spent building and managing the Middletons Steakhouse and Grill group, securing his passion for quality meat cooking.

Mr Ellis said: “Josper is a phenomenal range that’s easy to be proud of. Being able to don my chef gear and showcase its quality, versatility and simplicity to everyone is going to be a lot of fun. There are a range of amazing projects lined up, as well as regular live cooking demos and complimentary training all over the country – I truly can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Chris Jones, European group president for Middleby Worldwide, added that Mr Ellis is going to be “a true asset” to Middleby, and to the Josper brand.

Mr Jones added: “His ideas have already showcased the fire and passion he has got for the Josper products. We are looking forward to seeing how he will drive and transform the way that Josper is brought to the market in the UK.”
