Our Business Development Manager, Phil Denness, has been at Middleby UK for six years. Our BDM for the South, Phil spends a lot of his time out on the road meeting our never-ending list of customers. So let’s learn a bit more about Phil…
Hi Phil, tell us a bit about yourself
I was born in Bristol and grew up on the border of England and Wales, now living just outside of Chepstow in South Wales. In my younger days I completed an apprenticeship as a Motor Mechanic and started my career at a Toyota dealership. Moving on from Toyota I joined a manufacturing company on the shop floor, working my way up to ‘Group Buyer.’ After being with that company for 17 years I decided to change direction and move into sales – making my move to Middleby UK!
What is your favourite thing about working at Middleby?
It’s hard to choose just one thing – the team work, the people, my colleagues and the vast number of brands available to us and the depth of the Middleby portfolio.
How long have you been at Middleby?
Six years now!
What’s your favourite product?
The Turbochef Eco because of its size, speed and versatility. It’s an incredible product.
What do you get up to outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy mountain biking and motorbikes, dining out and watching the Six Nations Rugby – especially watching the England vs Wales games, it’s a great time of year to catch up with old friends!
What is your favourite food?
Piri Piri chicken or a meat feast pizza, it is hard to decide!
